Telford Hornets Rugby Club have nominated Spoon as their chosen charity for their Tag & Fun Day, on the 5th June, at their club.
The day consists of a Tag Tournament amongst other events. Tag teams consist of 7 per team, at any one time, and are mixed, in that a minimum of 2 of the opposite sex must be on the team - e.g. 5 men & 2 women, 4 men & 3 women.We would be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to enter a team. This is a FUN DAY and not to be taken too seriously. Tim Stimpson our new president will be presenting the prizes.
If there are any cyclists who would like to take part in the 'Two Hills ' Shropshire Cycle Climb, please do get in touch. This is being organised by Keith Jepson of Max Bikes, who last year raised approx. 2K for Shropshire Wooden Spoon, in cycling from Bath to Bridgnorth. This year, Keith is dividing the Sponsorship between W.S. and Long Mynd Adventure Camp - a charity which has a close relationship with W.S. Keith Jepson a Spoon member is organising a bike ride from Bath to Bridgnorth on Tuesday 3rd August (114 Miles) Spoon will be the beneficiary of this event and you can read more and visit Keith's sponsorship site at: www.justgiving.com/Keith-Jepson

Thursday September 9th - Annual Golf Tournament at Wrekin Golf Club
Oyster Communications of Broseley Hall, Broseley, Telford, are organising a Charity Ball at Telford Golf & Spa Hotel, Telford, on 26th November. One of the beneficiaries of this event will be W.S. together with other charities. This promises to be an exciting evening and many firms are using it as their Christmas Party.
