The Right Honourable The Earl Bathurst
Gloucestershire was formed 12 years ago and Tim Heal has been the Chairman since 2010.
The region is proud to have held many successful fundraisers and in November 2013 they celebrated their 10th Anniversary with a regional dinner which raised in excess of £21,000 on the night! Overall Gloucestershire has estimated that they have raised close to £125,000 through their annual Wooden Spoon dinners!
In 2013 they held their first Rugby Club Golf Competition which was won by Dursley with runners up Matson, with the winners progressing through to the National Final. This event proved to be so popular it is now planned to be a regular feature on the calendar.
Currently Gloucestershire’s main aim is to have a wider range of functions that encompass both fundraising and awareness of Wooden Spoon, with a particular focus on growing links with local rugby clubs.
To date they have raised over £400,000 for disadvantaged and disabled children in the local community.
If you would like to get involved with Wooden Spoon in the Gloucestershire region please contact Tim Heal.
