1 in every 100 children in the UK suffers from disadvantages that will profoundly affect their ability to lead a full and happy life Wooden Spoon is a charity that has helped disadvantaged children across the UK for 26 years. This year Spoon has tackled child obesity and teenage crime by getting youngsters involved in rugby programmes, teaching the values of teamwork, respect and controlled aggression; it’s already paying dividends with young people better managing their behaviour and their lives.
